Recipe : Tempered Rice Delight
Preparation Time : 15 minutes
Serves : 4
Ingredients :
Cooked rice – 1 cup
Beaten curd – 1 tbsp
Chopped tomato – 1 medium
Chopped onion – 1 medium
Chopped green chili – 1 tsp
Ginger- garlic paste – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – ½ tsp
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
A pinch of asafoetida
Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
Cooking oil – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves to garnish
Method :
Heat oil in a pan.
Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds and let them crackle.
Add asafoetida.
Add the onions and sauté them till light brown.
Add tomatoes and chilies and sauté for a minute.
Add ginger – garlic paste and stir for a minute.
Now add the curd, rice and spices and mix properly on medium flame for 2 – 3 minutes.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
