TEMPERED RICE DELIGHT

     
  Preparation Time :   15 minutes
       
  Serves :   4
     
  Ingredients :
 
  • Cooked rice – 1 cup
  • Beaten curd – 1 tbsp
  • Chopped tomato – 1 medium
  • Chopped onion – 1 medium
  • Chopped green chili – 1 tsp
  • Ginger- garlic paste – 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder – ½ tsp
  • Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
  • A pinch of asafoetida
  • Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
  • Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
  • Cooking oil – 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves to garnish
  •  
      Method :
     
  • Heat oil in a pan.

  • Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds and let them crackle.

  • Add asafoetida.

  • Add the onions and sauté them till light brown.

  • Add tomatoes and chilies and sauté for a minute.

  • Add ginger – garlic paste and stir for a minute.

  • Now add the curd, rice and spices and mix properly on medium flame for 2 – 3 minutes.

  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
